A Mecha Fighting game on the GameBoy Color? Since when?!

BATTLE DOT EXE is a fighting game in the form of a shoot-em-up. At the moment, multiple enemy AIs are functioning, but very few of them are optimized for stages with obstacles.

Controls:

A - Shoot (Mapped to Z key)

- Sword Slash (Mapped to X key)

START - Mapped to Enter key

In the future, more features will be added. Some of these things include:

  • More AIs and stat classes to fight
  • A timer to limit battles to 60 seconds  DONE!
  • A custom battle mode, where you can battle any class and AI combination
  • A reflector ability, which allows you to reflect attacks back at your opponents DONE!
  • Multiple rounds
  • Link Cable support? (Really depends on if it ever gets added to GB Studio)
  • Multiple controllable machines  DONE!
  • And last but not least, a story mode.

That's what I'm planning to do. The reason it's so slow is because there's a 0.25 second wait after every AI cycle, so it takes a bit before it can actually do anything. I did test it without the wait though, and it actually didn't change much in difficulty.
